⚔️ Roll Up a Character

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

This policy explains what Roll Up a Character collects and why. We keep it minimal: you can use the generators without an account, and we don’t sell your data.

What we collect

  • Account (optional): if you sign in, our authentication provider stores your email address and an account ID so you can save a library. You can use the site without signing in.
  • Generated content: characters, NPCs, and monsters you create are stored so they have a shareable permalink. Items you explicitly save are linked to your account.
  • Prompts: the text you type to generate a character is sent to our AI providers to produce the result.
  • Technical data: your IP address is used transiently for rate-limiting and abuse prevention, and we use privacy-friendly, aggregate web analytics.
  • Feedback: if you send feedback through the widget, that message is delivered to our team.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service:

  • Supabase — database & authentication (stores accounts and generated content).
  • Vercel — hosting and aggregate web analytics.
  • DeepSeek (and fallback models) — text generation; receives your prompt.
  • Runware — image generation for portraits and battlemaps; receives the image prompt.
  • Google — used only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Cookies

We use only an essential session cookie to keep you signed in when you have an account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices & data deletion

You can use the site anonymously. If you have an account and want it (and its saved content) deleted, or want a specific shared page removed, contact us via the in-app feedback widget and we will action it.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Questions? Use the feedback widget on the site. See also our Terms of Use.
