Features & Traits
From level 1 you cast Ranger spells using Wisdom. You prepare a list of Ranger spells (no cantrips) and cast them with your half-caster spell slots.
You always have the Hunter’s Mark spell prepared and can cast it a number of times per Long Rest without a spell slot (scales with level).
You can use the mastery property of two kinds of weapons with which you have proficiency. You can change the choices when you finish a Long Rest.
You gain Expertise in one skill, learn two extra languages, and your travel pace and recovery improve.
You gain a Fighting Style feat (e.g. Archery, Two-Weapon Fighting) or the Druidic Warrior option.
You choose a Ranger subclass (e.g. Hunter), which grants features now and at higher levels.
You can attack twice whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
You can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light (shades of gray).
Choose a lineage — Drow, High Elf, or Wood Elf — which grants a cantrip and additional spells (or extra speed) as you level up.
You have advantage on saving throws to avoid or end the Charmed condition.
You have proficiency in the Insight, Perception, or Survival skill (your choice).
You don't need to sleep, and magic can't put you to sleep. You can finish a Long Rest in 4 hours of light meditation.
While a creature is marked by your Hunter’s Mark, you know whether it has any Immunities, Resistances, or Vulnerabilities.
Choose Colossus Slayer (extra damage once per turn to a hurt target) or Horde Breaker (an extra attack against a different nearby creature).
Your background grants the Savage Attacker feat (a 2024 Origin feat).
Increase your ability scores: +2 DEX.
